According to the holy books,“Faith moves mountains,”. If we have great faith in a deity, Saint, thought or an object our wishes are fulfilled through their agency. In France there is a small village named Lourdes where there is a small lake. It is believed that a dip in this water cures incurable diseases like cancer, leprosy, paralysis and many other serious maladies. Eminent doctors have vouchsafed for the genuineness of the cures and have always expressed great wonder and astonishment. Once, a woman suffering from paralysis was taken there on a stretcher. It was cold day. Her attendants after offering prayers to the Deity dipped the patient in the cold water of the lake. Oh! The Wonder! The woman got completely cured and went home on her feet. Such miracles are happening at Lourdes even today.
Meditation with OM can be done by following these 5 stages :
The yogic tradition has described three aspects of awareness through meditation:
Yoga is a science and pranayama is an application of this science.Subtle breath alone, as a purely mechanical operation, can create an appropriate effect on our body, mind and spirit. However, it has been observed that the effect of these techniques can be greatly amplified when they are applied with sensitivity and awareness of their subtle influences, and with a deeper understanding of the relationship between the body, energy and mind.
In the Chandogyopanishad it is stated that the five tattvas have evolved from the mind, the mind has evolved from prana and prana has evolved from pure consciousness. Thus the tattvas are present in every form of creation. In the physical body, they manifest as chitta shakti, prana shakti and atma shakti, which act on the body and mind through energy channels or nadis and the breath or swara.
Ajna Chakra is a point where the higher intelligence, the non-manifestation and the manifested intelligence, are both experienced at the same level. Therefore, the yogic traditions have called ajna chaltra the seat of intuition, the seat of the guru or the seat of the sixth sense. The five senses belong to the manifest dimension, the manifest experience. The sixth sense or the intuitive experience is the transcendental manifestation of the supreme intelligence. It is here that we have to focus our creativity, willpower and desire to either be a receiver of or a receptacle for the manifest or non manifest experiences.
Shiva Samhita, states that “Only the knowledge imparted by a guru, through his lips, is powerful and useful, otherwise it becomes fruitless, weak and very painful.”
Who are Yamduts and Chandragupta ?
What is RIP and why do we confess in a Church ?
How are we punished for our Sins ?
Is the concept of good and bad deeds, heaven and hell a reality or just a subconsciousness of ours?
We all are very much aware of the fact that God is very kind and merciful. He has given us human beings total freedom to find the absolute truth in this world and a state of absolute bliss by following a self-chosen course of action. Neither does God become angry with those who commit mistakes or sins, nor does he punish anyone. Every individual reaps the fruits of one’s own doing through This universe created by God permits the human beings to learn from their own experience and set a benchmark for an improved status in the astral world. Heaven and hell have also been created for this very purpose.
Chakra shuddhi means ‘purification of the psychic centres’. These practices are used in kundalini yoga for the location of the psychic centers. In japa yoga these practices make up a special anusthana which can bring great benefits to a serious practitioner, who is able to devote one week or one month uninterruptedly to the practice. In kundalini yoga it is said that before the kundalini awakens, the chakras must be purified, opened and awakened. These practices form an important part of this process. Each psychic center is dealt with, in separate stages, and in the final stage all the psychic centers are dealt with consecutively. In chakra shuddhi, first each center is located and identified. Then with deep breathing, a psychic passage is established between the chakra kshetram, or trigger point in front of the body, to the actual chakra point in the spine. Finally, with the addition of mantra, the chakra is purified and opened. As the sound vibration of the mantra gradually builds up along the psychic passage, the psychic center is awakened.
We all have read about various versions of meditation. Each version has its own benefits. For example Transcendental Meditation is done to recharge the nervous system, chakra meditation is done to cleanse the chakras. But let’s talk about a different type of meditation called colour meditation. Colour meditation is generally considered helpful in maintaining inner calm and in understanding the subtle working of the vital energies of the human body. It is essential to remember that colour meditation is directed toward emotions, and so it is necessary to understand the meaning of the colors.
New studies conducted by American Scientists have shown the benefits of controlled breaths. (something known to Yogis for centuries)Dr. Richard brown, an associate clinical professor of psychiatry at Columbia university and co-author of “The healing power of the breath ” says Controlled breathing can change the body’s autonomic response of nervous system which controls many unconscious processes.“An initiative to tell you about the techniques that were taught by Himalayan/vedic shamans to control breathing patterns and how each pattern is an exercise in its own way,has been taken. Each breathing exercise enhances a particular Subconscious capability.
Ignoring all this historical background we will teach you certain sure methods and practices in gazing and thereby gaining mesmeric and other uncanny powers. You should please note that these psychic powers cannot be acquired by practicing pranayam or gazing for a couple of weeks. To achieve this divine power they will have to practice these practices for years together with great perseverance and tenacity. There are seven types of gazing practices. They are as follows:
